Respiratory system conditions are extremely common all over the world, with millions of us suffering from conditions such as Asthma, COPD, Snoring, Hayfever, Allergies or Bronchitis.
The UK population is no exception on this and the high pollen levels often registered in Britain makes those conditions even worse.
Fortunately, scientists have discovered a 100% natural salt therapy which will relieve some long lasting conditions, improve your respiratory health and make it easier for you to breathe.
This therapy is done with the usage of a Salt Pipe. Below I will explain what Salt Pipes are all about and point you to reviews of the best salt pipe brands you can find in the market.
What is a Salt Pipe?
A salt pipe is basically a refillable salt inhaler that recreates the microclimate of a therapeutic salt mine in the comfort of your home.
Therapeutic salt mine treatments have been used for thousands of years as the solution for several respiratory conditions. However visiting therapeutic salt mines isn’t exactly cheap nor convenient for most people and that’s where Salt Pipes come in.
You can get a great Salt Pipe for as cheap as £19.95 (with salt refills that cost £6.95 every 4-6 weeks or even cheaper if you buy multi-packs) and will be able to get all the benefits of a therapeutic salt mine in the comfort of your home.
It’s worth taking a look at Dr. Chris Steele Review of Salitair (my recommended salt pipe brand) during the show “This Morning” on ITV:
Are Salt Pipes Safe to use?
Salt therapies have been subject to several clinical tests and the results have always shown their high effectiveness and no side effect was ever reported.
Unlike steroid inhalers and other respiratory treatments, salt pipes are 100% natural and won’t give you any side effect (no addiction, no lack of concentration or any other issues often associated with steroid-type medicines).
It’s also worth pointing out that salt pipes can be used alongside prescribed medicine without any problem.
What are the benefits of Salt Pipes?
The main benefits of Salt Pipes are clear:
- Helps you breathe easier
- Cleans your respiratory system
- Improves symptoms of respiratory conditions
More in detail, salt pipes will help you with symptoms of any of these conditions: Asthma, Allergies, Hayfever, Rhinitis, COPD, Emphysema, Bronchitis, Whooping Cough, Snoring, Colds, Respiratory problems caused by smoking and more.
A few salt pipe reviews…
In order to help you choosing the best salt pipe in the market and to let you know where you can buy salt pipes in the UK we have explored the market in search for the best products and have added several salt pipe reviews to our site.
Here’s our Top 3 Recommended Salt Pipe Brands in 2014:
#1 Salitair (£19.95) – Recommended Brand
When we looked into user reviews, product quality, price and endorsements we had no choice but to rank Salitair as our recommended salt pipe brand.
This product was the original salt pipe showcased on ITV (the clip you seen above), offers top notch quality at a very competitive price and the user reviews are amazing.
Refills are available meaning that you can use a single salt pipe for as long as you want.

#2 Cisca Saltpipe (£26.99)
Cisca is also a very good brand and the user testimonials we have seen have been very similar to Salitair ones. However on the negative side, their product isn’t quite as good and costs almost twice as much.
On top of that, their products aren’t refillable and claim to last up to 5 years. No refills means that you won’t be getting any results after about 5-6 months, since that’s roughly when salt becomes dry and need to be replaced to maintain the treatment effectiveness.
In short it means that you need to order a new salt pipe every 5-6 months if you want to keep on having good results.

#3 The Saltpipe (£29.95)
Higher Nature’s The Saltpipe is yet another option with good user reviews.
With similar quality to Cisca (not quite as good as Salitair), the fact that the price is the highest of all three puts this one down as our 3rd best option.
Their main product isn’t refillable either but they do have a mini version that you can refill if you wish. However, being a travel sized version you will need a lot more refills since you won’t have enough salt in it for more than 2 months.
